Pylon Network MainNet: Beta Test Program revealed!

Following the recent release of our updated White Paper and Token Paper (see here) — and as we have communicated since the beginning of February — today we are very excited to be revealing all details and information regarding Pylon Network’s MainNet Beta Test!

Upon release we are going to require help from the members of our community, to become testers and help us put the finishing touches, before the official MainNet release.

All information you will need can be found below. Please make sure you read all of it and that you understand it.

PYLON NETWORK: MAIN-NET BETA PROGRAM — OVERVIEW

SUMMARY

The following sections will present and explain all aspects of the BETA TESTING PROGRAM for Pylon Network’s MainNet. It contains all important details about the selection process(es), the technical (knowledge) requirements and what is expected from the Beta testers in order to successfully receive their PYLNT reward.
The Beta Testing program is separated in three (3) pool categories, which aim at testing different elements of Pylon Network’s blockchain before the official launch of Pylon Network MainNet (Pyloncoin) — as shown in the table below.

INFORMATION FOR POOL #1

APPLICATION STAGE

1. The participation for wallet testers in the Beta Mainnet program, goes through an application process. Through this process, Pylon Team will decide which applicants are successful and will be eligible to become Pylon beta testers.
2. Anyone interested to participate, needs to complete this application form to express their interest. Please note that valid contact details are required.
3. Make sure you read & understand what are the minimum requirements and

SELECTION STAGE

1. After an evaluation of the applications, the beta testers are selected and contacted by Pylon team members.
2. All beta testers will be privately invited in a Telegram group, through which all wallet beta testers will communicate and coordinate with the team.

TESTING STAGE

1. Pylon wallet beta testers are required to perform a series of routines/tasks, to be considered successful and hence, be eligible for their rewards in PYLNT.
2. Each of these routines/tasks carries a corresponding PYLNT reward, as shown in table below.
3. You are required to provide screenshots as proofs while you are performing the routines.
4. A more detailed routines/tasks breakdown will be provided to the selected beta tester, before the Beta tests begin.
5. Please note that you will be required to own at least 1 PYLNT to successfully participate in the pool.

INFORMATION FOR POOL #2

APPLICATION STAGE

1. For this Pool, the IT skills and knowledge requirements are above average and require some sort of familiarity with the blockchain ecosystem.
2. We will be therefore selecting individuals that are able to demonstrate a solid programming/coding familiarity.
3. Anyone interested to participate, needs to complete this application form to express their interest. Please note that valid contact details are required.

SELECTION STAGE

1. After an evaluation of all applications, the beta testers will be selected and contacted by members of Pylon team.
2. All beta testers will be privately invited in a Telegram group, for all communication and coordination purposes.

TESTING STAGE

1. Please note that the testing stage will run for a period of few days (see Timeline)
2. During this period you will be working closely with Pylon’s team (expect a daily interaction)
3. All additional information and the coordination process during this period will be taking place through the dedicated Telegram group for Node Beta Testers.

INFORMATION FOR POOL #3

1. For this Pool category there is no official application procedure. Testers are encouraged to stress-test our code to identify and report any possible bugs or security threats, which might have slipped away.
2. Pylon Network’s code is available on GitHub, here.
3. Anyone is free to download a copy of the code and we could use some fresh, external eyes to have a look and try to identify code errors/bugs.
4. Every bug report is treated on a case-by-case basis and a reward is offered, in regards to the importance and the value. The team will treat these case with objectivity and fairness, however,
5. this does not mean that any kind of bug report (especially non-related to the Beta program) will be rewarded.
6. This pool will be open for unlimited period, until further notice (not bound by Beta testing period for Pool #1 & Pool #2).

GENERAL NOTES

NOTE 1: that it will necessary to provide us with a Telegram account, through which we can be in contact with you (to communicate and coordinate easier). If you don’ have a Telegram account you can create one, here.
NOTE 2: in case of a “close call” between applicants, during the selection process of the beta testers, trusted/active members of our community will be preferred over newcomers or inactive members.
