September was one more intense month, filled with events, additions to our team and lots of work “behind the scenes” as we prepare for exciting stuff ahead! October will not be any less busy, as well.

SUMMARY OF SEPTEMBER

The Madrid Energy Conference, 4–6 Sept

It was a great honour and pleasure for Pylon Network to be invited in this great conference and participate in The Future Customer panel along IBM Spain and Shell Ventures.

Our CEO, Gerard Bel, had the chance to explain the need for a Neutral Data Hub in the energy sector and the use case of PylonNetwork blockchain in #MEC2019.

It was great to be part of that event and we would like to thank the Institute of Americas and IPD Latin America for inviting us and organizing this great event and panel discussion.

Our advisory board is growing!

This month we had one more addition to our advisory board. The legal expert Piet Holtrop has joined Pylon Network as advisor.

Piet is a prominent international expert in renewable energy law and we couldn’t be happier to have him on board!

A rockstar of sustainability and protector of consumers rights in the energy sector!

Our team is growing!

Besides our advisory board, our core team also had two new additions: energy analyst, Andrea Corsini, and back-end programmer, Andersson de la Rosa, joined the team of Pylon Network and expanded our family!

We are delighted to have them both on board and we are feeling lucky and honoured to be sharing our journey with these two great individuals and professionals.

Smart contract patch

As we had announced in the past, our team has been working on a patch for $PYLNT. Couple weeks ago, we announced the completion of the new patch — and you can read it at full, here.

OUTLOOK OF OCTOBER

International Conference of Energy Communities, Lisbon, 9th October

The conference is organized by the Cooperative (Renewable Energy Cooperative), through the COMPILE project, and the Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Modeling (CCIAM) group of the Center for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (cE3c) of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon (FCUL) through the European projects PROSEU and BEACON.

At a time when the energy system is undergoing a deep and dynamic transformation process that can result in not only a 100% renewable system, but also a smarter grid and a more democratic, open and horizontal energy model, we invite all players in the sector to debate the questions that come up with this new model but also to see examples of Renewable Energy Communities, energy sharing projects and collective self-consumption that already exist in Europe and around the world.

This is why Pylon Network has been invited; to present and explain how we are shifting the energy transition to a more consumer-centric energy system and market.

Official $PYLNT & $PYLNC Wallet

Our dev team has been working tirelessly over the past weeks on several fronts of the project’s development. One one them has been the release of the official Pylon Token ($PYLNT) and Pyloncoin ($PYLNC) wallet. We know that our community has been waiting for its release and this month the wait will be over. Pylon team has been carrying out the necessary changes and bug fixes and the long-waited news will be coming up this month!

Over the next weeks we will be announcing the date of release — so make sure to stay tuned for news and updates!
